Sunday Services

Holy Qurbana (Eucharist)

Every Sunday at 10:30 AM

Our main weekly worship service featuring the ancient Syrian Christian liturgy. The service includes Scripture readings, prayers, hymns, and the celebration of Holy Qurbana (the Eucharist).

Languages: Malayalam and English

Location: Longbridge Methodist Church, 1654–1658 Bristol Road, Rednal, Birmingham B45 9TY

Sunday School

During Sunday Service (10:30 AM)

Children and youth participate in age-appropriate Christian education classes during the service. Classes are available for different age groups and focus on Bible stories, Christian living, and Knanaya heritage.

All children are welcome to join their respective age groups after the initial part of the service.

Fellowship Hour

After Sunday Service (approximately 12:00 PM)

Join us for tea, coffee, and refreshments after the service. This is a wonderful time to connect with other members of our church family, welcome visitors, and build community.

Fellowship is an important part of our church life, reflecting the early Christian practice of sharing life together.

Prayer Meetings

Throughout the week, we gather for prayer and spiritual nourishment. These meetings provide opportunities for deeper fellowship and intercessory prayer.

Wednesday Evening Prayer

Every Wednesday at 7:00 PM

A mid-week prayer meeting for spiritual refreshment. Includes Bible reading, shared prayer, and sometimes teaching or testimony.

Currently meeting online via Zoom. Contact us for connection details.

Family Prayer Groups

Monthly in various homes

Small group prayer meetings in members' homes. These intimate gatherings foster deeper relationships and focused prayer for specific needs.

Contact the church council for information about joining a prayer group.

Worship Languages

Our services use both Malayalam (the traditional language of the Knanaya community) and English to serve all generations.

Hymnals and service books are available in both languages, and major parts of the service are often bilingual.
